An armed and masked group affiliated with the Turkish-backed “Al-Hamza Division – Al-Hamzat ” severely beat the Kurdish person, Refaat Khalil Muhammad, while he was alone in his house located in the village of Kafr Shileh, in the occupied city of Afrin.
A private source told afrinpost that three gunmen cut off the electricity supply to Khalil’s house at exactly nine o’clock on Monday night, and then beat him with iron bars. With his strong resistance, the attackers fled, but the 53-year-old man was severely injured in his head, arm and back. Later, the neighbors found him and took him to Afrin Specialist Hospital.
The source added that “Rifaat” had previously received threats from a gunman from the “Al-Hamzat” militia that controls his village after he beat and expelled one of the gunmen’s sons because he stole pomegranates from his field located in the vicinity of Maarateh Central Prison. Following the incident, he received threats from the father of the thief who carried out his threat yesterday.
