The Turkish forces, stationed in the Thulthana base and Tal Maled, located on the outskirts of the city of Marea, targeted this morning the vicinity of the town of Tal Rifaat and the villages of Hasajk and Qol Suruj in the northern and eastern countryside of Aleppo, with intense artillery shelling, and no information was received about the extent of the damage so far.
The shelling coincided with the outbreak of violent clashes with heavy machine guns between the Syrian regime army and the Turkish-supported “National Army” militia on the Daghlbash axis in the Al-Bab countryside, east of Aleppo, which resulted in the killing of a member of the “National Army” militia and the injury of others to varying degrees.
Also, yesterday, Wednesday, the Turkish forces shelled the villages of Tel Jigan and Kafr Naya in Al-Shahba region, and the damage was limited to material only.
It is noteworthy that the intense artillery shelling coincides with the ongoing clashes in the occupied city of Afrin, which led to the full control of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the “Al-Hamzat and Al-Amashat” militia over the city of Afrin and the districts of Jindires and Mobata.
