Turkish authorities arrest two persons and released one for $100 in Afrin

afrinpost – Exclusive

The Turkish authorities kidnapped this morning, Saturday, the Kurdish person “Khalil Habib Ali” (32 years old) from his home in Al-Zaydiyah neighborhood in the center of the occupied region of Afrin, and he was taken to unknown destination, without revealing the charge against him.

According to our reporter, armed men raided Ali’s house and took him under the pretext of interrogating him about accusations against him, knowing that he owns a sewing workshop, which indicates that he has been detained due to financial extortion on the basis of fabricated charges.

On the other hand, the Turkish-backed “Sultan Suleiman Shah” militia, known as “Amashat”, kidnapped on Tuesday 3 September 2022 “Abdo Khalil Jabo” (43 years old) from his home in the village of Kakhreh in Mobata / Mabatli district, on charges of cooperating with the former Autonomous Administration. Jabo was released two days later in exchange for a ransom of $100, according to our sources in the region.

On October 6, “afrinpost” reported that Turkish intelligence had arrested five persons, including two women, in the districts of Mobata and Jindires, and released only one of them a day later, while the fate of the rest is still unknown.
