An IDP woman named “Fatima Mahmoud al-Abed,” from the people of Idlib governorate, was killed by a stray bullet in the village of Burj Abdalo in Sherawa district, south of the occupied city of Afrin, in addition to the injury of three women and a girl in the village of Ain Dara as a result of the violent clashes between Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya militia on the axes of the villages of Kurzeleh, Ain Dara and Terenda in the countryside of Afrin, north of Syria.
Our reporter in the city stated that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the Hamzah Division militia launched a violent attack this morning, Wednesday, September 12, on the points of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya militia in the villages of Kurzeleh, and were able to control them after fierce clashes between the two parties, where the clashes extended to the outskirts of the villages of Ain Dara and Terenda in the countryside Occupied Afrin, in an attempt by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham to enter the city of Afrin, coinciding with the fall of rocket-propelled grenades on its outskirts, which caused a state of terror and fear among civilians.
The reporter added that local councils and schools closed their doors in the city of Afrin, as the clashes approached the city’s outskirts, amid a state of resentment and anxiety among the people, due to the lack of intervention by the Turkish forces in the city in order to stop the advance of “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” forces towards the city.
On the other hand, the Turkish-backed Al-Amashat militia managed to impose its control over the villages of Raja, Turmisha and Shekatka in Mabatli district, after violent clashes with Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya members, in addition to capturing a number of Jaish al-Islam militia members and Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya.
In Jindires district, fierce clashes are still ongoing between the Jaish al-Sharqiya militia on one side and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham on the other side, on the outskirts of Jindires district, amid a large displacement of the people towards the city of Afrin, and the injury of five IDPs from the Muhammadiyah camp, as well as the Afrin-Jindires road was closed with earth mounds for fear from the advance of “Tahrir al-Sham” terrorists towards the city of Afrin.
Our reporter indicated that Jaysh al-Sharqiya militia managed to repel the attack of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham on the village of Deir Ballut in Jandiris, killing and wounding among its ranks and destroying 3 vehicles belonging to it, so that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham resumed its attack this afternoon after its failure to storm the village of Deir Ballut in the morning.
On the other hand, the Al-Mu’tasim Brigade militia sent large military reinforcements to the vicinity of the occupied city of Afrin to support Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya militia in its war against Al-Hamza Division and Al-Amashat militia in the occupied city of Afrin.
It is worth noting that Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya militia managed to control the village of Dabiq in the Akhtarin countryside in the northern countryside of Aleppo, to continue its advance towards the village of Al Masoudia in the countryside of Akhtarin in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
