Our reporter in Afrin stated that the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia continues to build shops on lands they seized from the family of “Osman Agha” from the village of Kurzele in Afrin, located on Teranda Road in the occupied city of Afrin.
“After the construction work is completed, the militia is selling these shops for two thousand dollars, while renting some of them for 50 dollars, as the number of shops that have been equipped so far has reached 40.” the reporter added.
It is reported that “Majd al-Islam” group affiliated with the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia, seized on June 6, 2021, the records of “Osman Agha” family, which extends from Al-Ashrafieh Dispensary on Aleppo road to the “Wednesday weekly bazaar”, and leased them to relief organizations (Syria Yardim and the Qatari Red Crescent). .
In October 2021, an IDP from Ghouta of Damascus seized a plot of land near the bazaar square, and turned it into a scrap yard, in addition, another IDP from Ghouta seized a land located near the sweets of Jabal Afrin in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood and set up a tire repair shop instead.
Also, on January 25, 2022, a member of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia seized a plot of land and began building a car wash on it. These three lands are also owned by the Osman Agha family.
It is worth noting that the relief associations operating in Afrin are building and placing kiosks within the records of the industrial zone and on Teranda road in the city of Afrin, without referring to their owners, or organizing the lease of the land, and then granting it to IDPs, according to informations we received on 3 April 2022.
