The Turkish authorities raided on September 14, a number of houses of the people of Afrin located located between Al-Orouba School and the Newroz roundabout in the occupied city of Afrin, and arrested about 21 young persons on trumped-up charges of receiving support from the Democratic Union Party.
Among the arrested youths were: “Abdul Suleiman” from the village of Kafr Sheila, “Suhail Qalander” from Mobata town, “Kamal and Muhammad Kurdi” from the village of Ma’mala, “Ahmed Omar” from the village of Baadina, “Jamal Muhammad” from the village of Deir Sawan, “Ahmed and Muhammad Suleiman” from the Arab component in the city of Afrin, and “Jihad Ismat”.
The youngmen got released on Thursday. September 15, and during the hours of arrest, they were beaten and humiliated, and they were also interrogated about their sources of income and accused of receiving money from the “party” transfered to Afrin, and when nothing of their accusation was proven, they were released on the second day, the reporter added.
