Military Police re-arrest two persons in Shiyeh, Afrin

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin stated that members of the “Military Police” militia in Shiyeh district, re-arrested on Monday, August 29, two persons from the town on charges of performing the compulsory military service during the former Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

The two young men are “Jamil Hikmat Ibrahim”, nicknamed Mstaki Ibrahim (26 years old), and Sheikho Mahmoud Naasan (34 years old).

They were released after forcing each of them to pay a ransom of $1,000, noting that both of them had previously been arrested more than twice on the same charge, and each time they paid the ransom for their release.

Also, on Tuesday, August 30, the Turkish-backed “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia kidnapped “Masoud Omar Hero” (40 years) from his home in the village of Qara Baba in Rajo district, and took him to an unknown destination, on charges of criticizing the militia, knowing that he is a father of two and a person with disability.
