A landmine exploded today, Sunday, in the occupied city of Afrin, while some workers were sorting scrap, which led to material damage only.
In another accident, on August 17, the child, “Khaled Al-Ali Al-Faris,” from the city of Maarat al-Numan in the southern countryside of Idlib, was killed and other children were injured, one of whom had his leg amputated, when a war remnant exploded in the village of Bouzika in Janders town.
Meanwhile, the Military Police militia opened an investigation with the children’s families to find out how the children accessed the explosive materials, after information spread among the families that the strange object was an explosive device equipped to detonate in an area of the occupied city of Afrin.
