Two kidnapped Kurdish women released and another transferred to Turkish territory

On Wednesday, July 6, the Turkish-backed “Mohammed Al-Fateh” militia kidnapped three Kurdish women from the occupied region of Afrin on charges of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration, to later release two of them and transfer the third to Turkish territory.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin stated that members of the “Mohammed Al-Fateh” militia kidnapped the Kurdish women, “Ruqiyah Mustafa, Hevin Hamid Atouno and Hanifa Ibrahim,” from the people of the village of Mest Ashoura of Mobata district, on charges of working within the local council of the village “cummune” during the former Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

The militia released the citizen “Ruqaiya Mustafa” after paying a ransom of $300, and the citizen “Hevin Hamid Atouno” after paying a ransom of $800, while the citizen “Hanifa Ibrahim” was sentenced arbitrary to three months in prison and transferred to Turkish territory.

“Also, the “Political Security” militia arrested the citizen “Muhammad Hassan” (27 years old) on Thursday, July 7, on charges of performing compulsory military service during the former Autonomous Administration in the occupied region of Afrin.” according to our sources.

“The Kurdish citizen “Mohammed Hassan,” known as Hamouda, from the village of Jaqale Jume, residing in the town of Jindires, was arrested by members of the “Political Security” militia at their checkpoint at the entrance to Jindires.” the sources added.
