Three Kurdish citizens kidnapped in Afrin by pro-Turkey militias

Two Kurdish citizens were arrested and a third was kidnapped by the Turkish authorities and its armed militias, on ready-made and trumped-up charges with the aim of harassing the indigenous Kurdish population in the occupied region of Afrin and force them to displace the city.

Our reporter said that the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” militia kidnapped the citizen “Abdul Rahman Abdin Hassan”, on June 30, from his home in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin then took him to the militia headquarters in the agricultural bank, and there were reports that he had been handed over to the “military police” in the city.

The citizen “Abdul Rahman Abdeen Hussein” is married and has 5 children, and he is from the village of Kafr Dali Tahtani – Jindires district.

According to the Kurdish Unity Party’s documentary report No. (205), issued on June 29, 2022, the two citizens, “Mustafa Zibar bin Murad” (65 years old), and “Idris Muhammad Bako” (45 years old), from the village of Ma’mala, were arrested by the “Military Police” in the town of Rajo, on charges of participating in the night watch during the former Autonomous Administration.

They were released the next day after imposing a fine of $150 on each of them.

According to the Violations Documentation Center, about 70 civilians were arrested and kidnapped in Afrin region during June 2022 by the Turkish authorities.
