The Turkish-backed military police imposed on Tuesday, July 19, a toll of 50 Turkish liras on cars, while the militants of the Turkish-supported “Al-Hamza Division / Al-Hamzat” militia robbed drivers on the road to Bulbul district in the occupied countryside of Afrin.
According to out reporter, the military police checkpoint at the entrance to the city of Afrin imposed a 50 Turkish lira toll on all cars loaded with goods, entering and leaving the city.
“In addition, elements of “Al-Hamzat” militia carried out, at around 4:00 a.m, yesterday, Tuesday, an armed banditry against civilian drivers heading from Bulbul district towards the city of Afrin.
It is noteworthy that the local council in the city of Afrin had already imposed large royalties on cars loaded with foodstuffs and petroleum tanks at Teranda checkpoint, on June 22nd, and the value of the royalties ranged from 50 to 100 US dollars, depending on the type of goods and their value.
