Intensified Turkish shelling on villages in northern countryside of Aleppo

The Turkish forces, stationed at the Thulthana base and Tal Maled, located on the outskirts of the city of Marea in the northern countryside of Aleppo, shelled this evening, Wednesday, the villages of Ziwan, Al-Shaala Al-Wardiya, Kharbsha, Telal Al-Anab and Al-Nairabiya in the northern countryside of Aleppo, with more than 20 rocket and artillery shells, and no information reporterd on the extent of the damage.

In Sherawa district of the occupied countryside of Afrin, the Turkish forces and the “National Army” militia also shelled with heavy artillery the vicinity of the villages of Aqiba, Beneh, Gunde Mazen, Kashta’ar, Deir Jamal, Kalouta, and the vicinity of Ziyarate village, in addition to targeting the villages of Mara’naz, Ain Digna, the vicinity of Menagh Military Airport and Tel Rifaat-Deir Road Jamal. The aformentioned villages have been targeted with more than 200 rocket and artillery shells, which led to the burning of agricultural crops in fields belonging to the villagers.

The intense artillery shelling by the Turkish forces came after the killing of 9 members and wounding of two others from the Turkish-backed “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia on the Basofan axis in the Sherawa district, by the Syrian regime army stationed in Jabal Sheikh Aqil, where a military vehicle belonging to the “Daraya Martyrs Brigade” of the “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia was targeted with a Kornet-type guided missile.
