Three Kurds arrested in Afrin and another in Istanbul by Turkish authorities

Our reporter said today that the Turkish-backed military police launched a campaign of raids on May 11, in the vicinity of al-Ashrafieh neighborhood park in the center of Afrin city, in search of wanted persons.

According to the reporter, the campaign resulted in the arrest of the Kurdish citizen, “Muhammad Ezzat, 30 years old”, from his home in the vicinity of al-Ashrafieh Park, to release him the next morning after forcing him to pay 1000 US dollars as ransom on charges of Performing the self-defense service during the previous Autonomous Administration period, bearing in mind that the citizen “Ezzat” is the only child of his parents and works as a carpenter.

“The Turkish-supported militias also arrested the two young men, “Muhammad Al-Omar and his cousin Omar Al-Omar”, on charges of collaborating with the Syrian Democratic Forces, knowing that the two young men are IDPs from Al-Maysir neighborhood in Aleppo city, and their fate is still unknown.” The reporter added.

On the other hand, reliable sources told “afrinpost” that the Turkish security services arrested last Tuesday, May 10, the 19-year-old Kurdish citizen, Muhammad Omar, while he was on his way to work in Istanbul, and he is from the village of Hasandera in Afrin.
