Russian air strikes target pro-Turkey militia, in Syria’s Afrin

Eight militants of the Turkish-supported “Sultan Murad Division” militia were killed and wounded, as Russian warplanes targeted on Friday, 13. May, four headquarters near the village of Mashala in the countryside of Afrin, northern Syria.

Our reporter said, quoting his sources among the Islamist militias, “the National Army” said that the Russian warplanes targeted, with four raids, the camps of the “Sultan Murad” militia in the Harrach, located behind the Mira “grain depots” center, which the militia takes as its headquarters, as well as training camps located in the area separating the villages of Kafr Jannah and Mashala and a military point located in the forests of the village of Qurtaqlaq.

The reporter pointed out that the raids resulted in the killing of two members and the injury of 6 others, as well as the complete destruction of the targeted headquarters.

The unprecedented Russian raids on the camps of the pro-Ankara “Sultan Murad” militia, came hours after the killing and wounding of about 20 members of the Syrian regime forces as a result of targeting their overnight bus near the village of Ainjara in the western countryside of Aleppo by the pro-Turkey Muslim Brotherhood militias.
