The Turkish authorities in the city of Afrin, northern Syria, arrested a Kurdish woman at al-Mahmudiya checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city, on Tuesday, May 3rd, without any clear charges against her.
Our reporter stated that the security checkpoint of the Turkish authorities and its armed militants in al-Mahmudiya neighborhood arrested the citizen “Arin Fakhri Muslim”, who is 33 years old, from Shitka village – Mobata district. Arin is married and has two children, and she was on a visit to the city of Afrin when she get arrested.
“The reason behind her arrest and her fate are still unknown until now.” The reporter added.
“Afrinpost” has documented the arrest and kidnapping of 35 civilians during the month of April 2022, including IPDs and elderly Kurds.
