Turkish-backed militants cut down 35 olive trees in Jindires, Afrin

afrinpost – Special

Two armed men belonging to the Turkish-backed “Hamzat and Al-Zanki” militias recently cut down 35 olive trees – some partially and others completely – in the district of Jindires in order to trade in their wood, despite the complaints submitted by the owners of the olive fields.

According to our sources, 20 olive trees (owned by Talal Maryam from the village of Qirba, were partially cut down), and 15 olive trees were completely cut down, owned by Abu Abdo, from the village of Qujuma.

The fields are located on the dirt road between the villages of Qurbe and Freriya in Jindires district.

The sources confirmed that the owners of the two fields filed complaints with the “National Army”, but they refused to decide on them on the pretext that there is no evidence to prove this, noting that in broad daylight the agricultural tractors transport the wood to the gathering center belonging to the militants.
