Turkish authorities release detained Kurdish woman with her two children after two years’ imprisonment

The Turkish authorities in Afrin released on Monday 9/13/2021, the Kurdish woman ‘Seran Mustafa Jindo’ from Afrin Central Prison located in Maratha village, after spending two years in detention.

According to our reporter “On 3/8/2019, her 32-year-old husband ‘Hannan Khalil Jindo, who is from the village of Miske Fawqani in Jindires sub-district, was arrested near the village junction while returning from work, and on 15/9/2019, a Turkish military force raided his house and arrested his 23-year-old wife ‘Seran Mustafa Jindo’ and his 25-year-old brother ‘Bawer Khalil Jindo, who was released after two months.”

“In a Turkish court, Hannan was sentenced to life imprisonment, and his wife Seran, whose two children remained with her throughout the prison period (one of them was one year old, while the other was a newborn) was sentenced to two years in prison.” the reporter added.
