As the olive harvest season approaches in the occupied region of Afrin, Turkish-backed militants and IDPs begin to steal it unripe to deprive the people of Afrin of harvesting their crops.
According to our reporter, “about 40 olive trees were cut down with their crop from a field, owned by the Kurdish citizen Akeed Rashid, located between the villages of Kafar Janneh and Mashaleh in Sharan sub-district.”
The reporter added, “In the village of Cûmkê, the olive crop was stolen from a field owned by Muhammad Seif El-Din. Also, on Thursday evening, 9/23/2021, a portion of olive crop in a field owned by the citizen Subhi Eido, was stolen, and the branches of the trees were cut down then loaded by tractors and cars to an IDP camp located in the village of Matina, near the Shrine of the Martyrs”
It is worth mentioning that the citizen Subhi filed a complaint with the pro-Turkey “al-Sultan” militia in Sharan sub-district, however, the militia did not take any measures.
