On August 30, 2021, the Turkish authorities arrested four Kurdish citizens from the town of Baadina of Rajo sub-district, on charges of performing Defence duty service during the previous Autonomous Administration period in Afrin region in northern Syria.
According to our sources, the pro-Turkey “military police” has arrested Shaker Hassan Jaafar- 28 years old, Luqman Rashid Bakr- 44 years, Muhammad Zakaria Muhammad Jarro- 25 years, and Muhammad Manan Ibish, 45 years old, who was released after paying a fine of 1,500 Turkish liras, while the rest are still arrested in Rajo sub-district center.
The same sources added, “0n Sunday, August 22, the ‘Military Police’ arrested the 20-year-old Kurdish woman ‘Hevin Abdin Gharibo’, and on the next day, the 22-year-old citizen ‘Lina Zakaria Muhammad Jaro’, the sister of the detainee ‘Mohammed Zakaria Muhammad Jaro’.”
At that time, the Turkish authorities released the citizen “Hevin” a day after her arrest, and imposed a fine/ransom of 2000 Turkish lira on her, while ‘Lina’ was taken to ‘Marate’ prison in Afrin center.
