The Turkish authorities and its Islamic groups have arrested 8 Kurdish citizens at different times in villages in the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria, under the same false pretexts, according to our sources.
According to the sources, the pro-Turkey “Military Police” militia, in cooperation with “Faylaq Al-Majd” militia, which controls the village of Kela, arrested last Thursday, August 12, 2021, the two citizens (Kawa Ali Ma’mo, 37 years old, and Hassan Ahmed Seydo “Jerko” 56 years old) under the pretext of going out on guard shifts during the Autonomous Administration period, about three and a half years ago!
In the context, the “Military Police” militia arrested on the morning of Sunday, August 15, the two brothers, Jiwan Mustafa Sheikho, 18 years old, and Rukan Mustafa Sheikho, 24 years old, from the village of Jalame in Jindires sub-district, on charges of performing self-defense duty service during the Autonomous Administration period.
In the village of Maamla of Rajo sub-district, the “Military Police” accompanied by armed men from the “Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh” militia, on 10/8/2021, arrested three Kurdish citizens on charges of going out on guard shifts and dealing with the Autonomous Administration.
The arrested citizens are: Ali Muhammad Shaaban, 42 years old, Abdo Khalil, 50 years old, and the elderly Muhammad Khalil, 70 years old.
According to our sources, the Turkish authorities transferred Ali Muhammad Shaaban and Abdo Khalil to Marateh Central Prison, while the elderly Muhammad Khalil was kept in the security center of the “Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh” brigade in the village on a strange accusation, which is (Cursing the Turkish state during the previous Autonomous Administration period). He was released the next day in exchange for a ransom of $1,000.
In Rajo sub-district, the “Military Police” militia on Saturday, 7/8/2021, arrested the Kurdish citizen “Sharif Akkash Qanbar, 30 years old” – from the village of Meydana- gundî Palê – at the entrance to the town of Rajo while he was coming from the city of Afrin, on charges of performing the duty self-defense service during the Autonomous Administration period, and he is still in the militia prison in the town to this day.
