According to our correspondent in the city, the clashes took place after gunmen from the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia attacked a leader in the “Ninth Division” militia called “Abu Abdo Alolo”, who was transferred to the National Hospital in the city of Azaz due to the seriousness of his health as a result of severe beatings against him. .

Our correspondent indicated that after the attack, Ahrar Al-Sharqiya militia launched an attack on the headquarters and homes of the Ninth Division’s members on Al-Vellat Street in the city center, resulting in violent clashes between the two parties using light and medium weapons inside residential neighborhoods.

Our correspondent explained that the reason for the outbreak of the clashes was due to an attempt by members of the Ninth Division to expel IDPs from the city of Deir ez-Zor from the homes of the forcibly displaced people of Afrin, with the aim of housing families loyal to them instead. Adding that the clashes have resulted in the injury of a child, a woman, a reporter in Ahrar Al-Sharqiya called “Al-Harith Rabah”, and many others.
