The Turkish-backed Islamist groups continue to harass the Kurdish citizens and kidnap them under various pretexts with the aim of blackmailing them. Meanwhile, the arrests of the returning Kurdish citizens reveal the falsehood of propaganda for the stability of the security situation.
As reported by our reporter, gunmen from the Turkish-backed “Al-Hamzat” militia kidnapped citizens of Fafertin village in Sherawa sub-district, on Friday, 6/8/2021, namely: Marwan Sheikho Ali and Ibrahim Khalil Sheikho. Where they were taken to an unknown destination, without charging them with any accusation.
Our reporter added that Turkish intelligence agents arrested the 31-year-old Kurdish citizen, Muhammad Sheikho, from the town of Shieh / Sheikh al-Hadid, who works as an anesthesiologist, about a week ago.
The citizen Muhammad Sheikho paid 8000 dollars to the smugglers to reach Afrin from the city of Aleppo, and he received promises from the Association of Independent Kurds to ensure that he would not be attacked, which sought to secure a settlement process for him, however, he was arrested on charges of dealing with the Autonomous Administration and working in Avrin Hospital and was taken to an unknown destination.
In a context related to the arbitrary kidnappings, on Sunday 1/8/2021, armed men from a group called “Abu Muhammad Hayyani” affiliated with the “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia kidnapped the Kurdish citizen “Ali Hassan Khalil” (40 years), from his home in Maghar Jaq / Maghar village of Shieh/Sheikh Al-Hadid sub-district, on charges of dealing with the Autonomous Administration, visiting the commune of the village, and going out on night watch shifts. Ali was taken to an unknown destination, and the kidnappers demanded Ali’s family to pay a ransom of 3000 Turkish liras for his release.
Moreover, prior to Eid al-Adha last July, the Turkish intelligence arrested Omar Muhammad Hussein (42 years), from the village of Xilalka in Bulbul sub-district, who returned with his wife to Afrin after paying 6000 dollars to reach his village, to be arrested the day after his arrival in the village.
