Turkish-backed groups turned Rajo into war zone due to dispute over displaced Kurdish citizen’s house

According to our reporter, violent clashes erupted at half past six on Saturday, 18 July, between a group called “Abu Abdo al-Qalamoun” affiliated with the “Ninth Division” militia stationed in the village of Mosaka on one side, and a group called “Abu Moro” affiliated with the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia on the other hand, following verbal altercations between the two parties, which developed into violent clashes with medium and light machine guns, mortars and RPGs in the streets of Rajo sub-district, causing huge damage to dozens of homes and shops.

The reporter added that there were casualties on both sides, amid reports that the Turkish-backed “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia managed to capture a leader and a number of members of the “Ninth Division” militia, noting that the two warring parties brought in large military reinforcements from Afrin city towards Rajo sub-district, which threatens to escalated the clashes dramatically.

While the “National Army and Military Police” militias sent large military reinforcements towards Rajo sub-district to intervene to stop the clashes between the two parties in residential neighborhoods.

The reporter mentioned that four citizens were injured as a result, in addition to many other militants. Adding that the reason behind the clashes was a dispute over a house of a forcibly displaced Kurdish citizen.
