Turkish authorities bulldozers savagely destroy Kurdish martyrs cemetery in Afrin

afrinpost – Exclusive

Sources stated to our site today, Wednesday, that the Turkish authorities are bulldozing and destroying a cemetery holds martyrs in the city of Afrin, using heavy machinery and in the presence of Turkish soldiers and their Muslim Brotherhood militias.

The sources indicated that the Turkish authorities brought bulldozers and Turks to the park located on the southern side of Afrin University (currently the local council), accompanied by police, Turkish soldiers and media teams, and then the mechanisms razed the cemetery located in the park and destroyed it in a “barbaric and retaliatory” manner, according to the sources’ description.

We could not get any pictures of the bulldozing work due to the security perimeter imposed on the area.

It is noteworthy that the targeted cemetery holds about 20 fighters of the People’s Protection Units/ YPG and some civilians, and it was established during the Turkish bombing on the city of Afrin and the siege they imposed a few days before occupying it.

The sources added that the bulldozing operations led to the appearance of shrouds and bones, “without the cemetery’s desecrators paying attention to the sanctity of the dead and human values.” Knowing that the bulldozing is still going on at the time of writing this report.
