“Al-Hamzah Division” kidnap two Kurdish citizens in Kokane village in Afrin

afrinpost – Exclusive

On Tuesday 13/7/2021, the Turkish-backed al-Hamza militia kidnapped two Kurdish youths from the village of Kokane in the countryside of Afrin, and took them to Mobata / Maabatli sub-district center on charges of concealing weapons, according to our reporter.

The reporter explained that the militants of “al-Hamzat” militia raided the homes of the two young men, Jamal Abdo and Ahmed Hassan, in the village of Kokane, under the pretext that they hid weapons outside the village.

Our site had published on July 4, 2021 about the kidnapped citizens (Jamal and Ahmed) being blackmailed, when the so-called “Abu Sultan”, the militia leader in the village, fabricated the accusation of hiding weapons in the area between the villages of Kokane and Jwaiq. Despite the denial of the two young men, they were threatened and forced to pay two million Syrian pounds to get rid of the armed men’s accusation and threats.
