TSO’s “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia kidnapped seven citizens from Basuta village

The Human Rights Organization of Afrin – Syria, quoting local sources, reported that gunmen affiliated with the Turkish-backed “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia carried out an armed raid on Saturday 29/5/2021 in the village of Basuta, in Sherawa sub-district,

They kidnapped seven citizens, most of them Kurds, under the pretext of dealing with the Autonomous Administration, a flimsy argument they have been used since more than three years, while the real aim is to blackmail the Kurdish citizens and get ransoms -their source of funding- and harassing them.

The kidnapped citizens are:

1- Ahmed Abdel Rahman Battal (40 years old) and has three children.

2- Ali Khalil Khaled (25 years old), father of a child.

3- Kawa Battal Khidir (40 years old).

4- Peyman Muhammad Taha Bash (32 years old), father of a child.

5- Hassan Zaki Hamsho (48 years old).

6- Najeeb Misto Khalil (45 years old).

7- Khaled Ahmed Rajab (31 years), who is from the town of Qibtan al-Jabal in the western countryside of Aleppo, but he has lived in Basuta for nearly twenty years.

The kidnapped citizens were taken to an unknown destination, and there was no information about their conditions, or whether they were asked to pay a ransom for their release.
