ISIS member in “Sultan Murad” militia’s ranks attacks pharmacist in Afrin

afrinpost – Exclusive

Yesterday, Monday, activists circulated a video through a surveillance camera installed inside a pharmacy in the city of Afrin, in which a gunman appeared attacking the pharmacy worker, pointing his weapon in his face, trying to shoot him because he was not given medication without a prescription.

According to our sources, the pharmacy is located in the vicinity of the “Newroz” roundabout in the center of Afrin city, and it belongs to the displaced Kurdish citizen “the pharmacist Adnan Mustafa”, from Kokanê/ Mobeta sub-district, who died in Aleppo as a result of a heart attack he suffered after hearing that an IDP from Aleppo (appearing in the video – called Hakim) has taken over his pharmacy including the medicines and equipment.

After the video has been circulated on social media, the Turkish-backed “Military Police” militia published a video, in which it claimed that it had arrested the aggressor, “Muhammad Hawas Al-Abdullah, nicknamed Abu Hawas,” without handcuffing him! .

“Referring him to prison seemed like a farce” activists described, while the real aim behind was to present the aggressor as a civilian, in an attempt to absolve the so-called “National Army” militias of the violations.

The sources confirmed that the aggressor, “Abu Hawas”, from Deir ez-Zor governorate, was a member of the terrorist organization ISIS during its control of Deir ez-Zor, but prior to the Turkish invasion of Afrin he joined “Jaish al-Sharqiya” militia and participated in its invasion. Later he established an armed group under his command and joined the ranks of the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad Division” militia under the leadership of the so-called “Abu Bakr Al-Dawasir”.
