Kurdish citizens arrested in Afrin by Turkish-backed militias

The Turkish authorities and its extremist militants arrested two Kurdish citizens, residents of the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria, whose fate is still unknown.

In details, the human rights organization in Afrin reported that the Turkish-supported “Civil Police” militia , on 15/4/2021, arrested Zakaria Ibrahim Omar from his home in the village of Dûdê-Meydana / Rajo district, on charges of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration, and took him to its headquarters in Rajo.

As well as, a checkpoint belonging to the “Military Police” militia, located at the entrance to the occupied city of Azaz on 4/14/2021, arrested the citizen Muhammad Ali Alo, who is from Meydankê village, while on his way to the city without being able to know the charge against him.

According to the information circulated, “Alo” was transferred to the so-called “anti-terrorism branch”, and his fate is still unknown.
