Turkish forces shell al-Shahba villages

Today, Thursday, March 18, the Turkish forces and its Islamist militias renewed artillery shelling of al-Shahba villages, north of Aleppo.

“The artillery and mortar shelling hit the villages of Tal al-Madiq, Tal Rahala, al-Sha’ala, Khirbet al-Shaala and Ziwan in the countryside of al-Shahba area.” According to afrinpost correspondent in al-Shahba.

The correspondent indicated that the artillery shelling continued from this morning until noon, without recording any casualties, and the damage was limited to the material only, adding that the villages were shelled are villages adjacent to the city of al-Bab-eastern countryside of Aleppo and all of them are located on the lines of contact with the militia of the National Army in the west of al-Bab city.

It is noteworthy that the area witnessed yesterday, Wednesday, mutual shelling and clashes between the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the militia of the National Army on the contact lines on the axis of Ain Daqna, Maranaz and Meriamin.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Turkish forces targeted the villages of Soughanakeh and Bene inhabited with the displaced from Afrin, with heavy artillery, without any civilian casualties.
