Turkish-backed militias carry out infiltration operation on Maraanaz axis and “Afrin Liberation Forces” is confronting

Today, Monday morning, the Turkish-backed militias carried out an infiltration operation on the axis of the village of Maraanaz in Al-Shahba areas, but the Afrin Liberation Forces responded and inflicted losses in lives and equipment of the militias.

According to the afrinpost reporter, “Ahrar al-Sham” militia infiltrated the Afrin Liberation Forces’ points in the village of Maraanaz, with heavy assistance from the Turkish artillery. However, the resistance forces managed to repel the attack.

The Turkish artillery targeted the outskirts of Tal Rifaat and Sheikh Issa and the fighting axes, and violent clashes erupted because of that, when a shell fell on the headquarter of the regime’s army, killing two members of the regime and wounding others.

The reporter added that the body of at least one of the militia’s dead is in the fist of the “Afrin Liberation” fighters.

Meanwhile, Afrin Liberation Forces responded by bombing militia stationing points in the vicinity of the city of Azaz and Afrin-Azaz road with rocket-propelled grenades, and the bombing caused the road to be closed.

The Afrin Liberation Forces have not issued a statement regarding the rationale and results of the operation until now.
