“Faylaq al-Sham” kidnaps 7 Kurdish citizens in Basufan, and shots at Kurdish widow in Baa’e, Afrin

The pro- Muslim Brotherhood Turkish-backed Faylaq al-Sham militia, continue to harass the rest of the Kurdish population in the villages and towns of Sherawa district, the eastern countryside of Afrin, amid new kidnapping campaigns and attempts to impose forced marriage.

“Faylaq al-Sham” militia, on Newroz day the 3/21/2021, launched a campaign of raids and kidnappings against the people of Basufan village on charges of dealing with the previous Autonomous Administration, and among the kidnapped were: (Jumah Saleh, Muhammad Nasir, Tayseer Jimo, Muhammad Nasir Sheikho, Sabri Haider, Darwish Arabo, Haydar Barakat Ibrahim).” According to our sources,

In a related context, a gunman of “Faylaq al-Sham” militia, on 1/3/2021, shot directly at the Kurdish widow (Hamida Misto – from the village of Baa’e) while she was going to the bakery. She was hit by a bullet, to be transferred to a hospital in the city of Darat Azza to receive treatment.

“The reason behind the attack is due to her refusal to marry off her daughter to a militia gunman, while the militants are still intimidating the Kurdish widow “Hamida” and threatening her in case she filed a complaint against them.” According to information obtained by afrinpost.
