Afrinpost correspondent in the center of the occupied Afrin region said that leaders of “Jaish al-Islam” militia have vowed to take revenge against the “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia in revenge for the killing and wounding of 8 militants, following an attack on its headquarters in the area of Diwwar al-Qabban in the center of Afrin.
The reporter added that mobilization and tension prevail among the two factions, amid “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” propaganda that the reason for the clashes between the two sides is due to the “Jaish al-Islam” gunmen smuggling supporters of the “Damascus government” into Afrin.
In the same context, clashes erupted yesterday, Sunday, between two groups of “Jaish al-Sharqiya” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation, due to their dispute over the establishment of control over the properties of the people of Afrin.
The violent clashes that broke out between the two sides using various types of weapons, began with light weapons and developed into the use of “RPG” rockets, in addition to the use of heavy machine guns, between populated civilian neighborhoods.
The correspondent confirmed that the clashes resulted in six injuries on both sides, and they were treated at the Military Hospital in Afrin (Martyr Farzanda Hospital).
