The center of the occupied Afrin region is witnessing a cautious calm, after the “al-Shamiya Front” “” and “Jaish al-Islam” militia reached an agreement to end the fighting that broke out this Saturday afternoon, as various types of light, medium and heavy weapons were used, after mediations made by other militias to limit and stop the clashes.
The clashes resulted in the killing of two militants from “Jaish al-Islam” militia and wounding of 6 others. In addition, 3 militants were wounded in the ranks of the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia, which burned the headquarters of the First Party in the area of Al-Qabban roundabout.
During the clashes, armed men from “al-Shamiya Front” militia robbed a money exchange shop, whose owner is from the countryside of Damascus, where the money that was in his possession was seized and he was shot and injured.
The “afrinpost” correspondent obtained a paper copy of that agreement, which provides for the formation of a committee of sheikhs on both sides, to decide on the dispute between the two groups affiliated with the militia of the National Army affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood.
According to the terms of the agreement, the formed committee requested the leaders of the headquarters who caused the clashes, and based on the investigation with them, the direct perpetrators of the fighting will be arrested so that the investigation will be conducted and then the punishment will be inflicted on whoever is sentenced, according to the document issued.
