The gunmen of “Liwa al-Waqqas” militia fired live bullets at a car carrying agricultural workers from the village of Hekeche to the village of Qarmitlaq of Shiye district, hitting one of them with a bullet in his back and arresting the rest on the pretext that they did not obtain an “exit permit”, claiming that the car was “foreign”.
In the details, afrinpost correspondent said that armed men from the militia “Liwa al-Waqqas” affiliated with the Turkish occupation fired live bullets on one of the civilian cars yesterday, Monday, February 14th, at one of the civilian cars transporting workers from the village of Hekeche to the village of Qarmitlaq in Shiye district of Afrin to sweep the olive trees. 19-year-old citizen, Abdo Tane, was shot in his back, to be transported to Avrin Hospital (currently Al-Shifa) in the district of Afrin.
The reporter indicated that the militia kidnapped the rest of the workers and led them to an unknown destination, and they are (Arif Rashid Dalo, 33, Muhammad Mustafa Sheikh Hanan, 38, and Walid Muhammad, 50).
The reporter added that two members of “Al-Waqqas” militia accompany the injured “Abdo” in the hospital and try to distort the course of the case, as they taught his family a “fabricated” story stating that he was hit by a stray bullet coming from an unknown party to avoid responsibility, while the fate of the kidnapped remains unknown to this day .
The militia had previously resorted to fabricating stories with the aim of avoiding responsibility for the crimes committed. On April 18, 2020, the people of the village of Hekeche in the area of “Shiye / Sheikh Al-Hadid” were surprised by the death of the elderly citizen “Fatima Kanna” in her home, during the absence of her children, working in planting plants on their lands, and the “afrinpost” correspondent at the time confirmed that the martyr “Fatima” lost her life as a result of being strangled, and then was hanged from her neck to the tree, to suggest that she committed suicide! As the effects of suffocation were on her neck, in addition to bruises on her lower limbs and back, as “al-Waqqas” militia which takes a house opposite to the martyr Fatima’s residence, rushed shortly after the occurrence of the crime to abduct her sons under the pretext of investigating the circumstances of the case.
While all the indications and evidences in the incident of the martyrdom of the elderly “Fatima” indicate that the armed men of “Liwa al-Waqqas” militia led by “Muhammad Abdo”, who is from the city of “Marea” in the northern countryside of Aleppo, and occupy the village of Hekeche, is the one who committed that crime with the intention of stealing jewelry and cash of the Kurdish lady. The militia tried at the time to promote false stories to disavow the crime committed by its gunmen, including suicide at times, and accusing the daughter of the victim’s son and the wife of her grandson of killing her at other times, but the strangest story is that the martyr “Fatima” tried to sit on the chair, but fell with her suffering from stress and overweight from the chair and died (according to Al-Waqqas militia).
