Electrical wires and cables are subjected to regular thefts by the armed militias of the Turkish occupation, in order to be trafficked, and in the village of Ma’amla the theft was carried out publicly under the pretext of reform.
afrinpost correspondent reported that armed men from “Muhammad al-Fateh” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation army had stolen electrical wires and cables in the village of Ma’amla / Maaml Ushagi in Mobata district in Afrin, under the pretext of repairing and restoring electricity to the area.
The correspondent added, however, that the gunmen did not repair the anything and went on stealing all the electrical cables and wires.
It is noteworthy that settlers dismantled electrical transformers from various villages of the occupied region and sold them to the Afrin Electricity Company, in light of a Turkish company continuing to work on linking Afrin and its environs with the Turkish electricity grid, after linking education, communications and economics to the Turkish state of Antakya according to a scheme to consecrate the occupation.
