The son of a leader in “Sultan Suleiman Shah-Al-Amshat” militia of the Turkish occupation, on Monday, assaulted the medical staff at Cihan Hospital in the center of the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria, under the pretext of transferring one of his sick relatives to the “martyr Farzanda” military hospital.
According to the afrinpost correspondent, the son of the so-called “Amer al-Muhammad,” a member of the occupation police in Afrin, stormed the Cihan Hospital today, wielding his weapon in the face of the hospital’s medical staff, and assaulted them with beating and insults, because the hospital’s administration transferred a relative of the element, who was infected with Covid-19 to the Military hospital.
Armed men of the “Sultan Murad” militia tried to intervene, but the Turkish soldiers prevented them from entering the hospital.
The Kurdish nurse (Salwa) and the nurse Ahmad, a resident of the town of Marimin / eastern Afrin countryside, were known among the attacked, as well as another Kurdish doctor whose name the reporter could not document. The director of the hospital, “Sabri Hanan” was threatened, and the weapon was pointed at him.
It is noteworthy that the aggressive behavior of the Islamic militia gunmen towards workers in public facilities is not limited to this case only. The so-called “Abu Amsha”, the leader of the “Al-Amshat” militia, threatened all employees of the “Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid” bakery with arrest and torture because he considered the quality of the bread produced in the bakery is bad.
