afrinpost monitored today the sale and seizure of real estate belonging to the displaced of Afrin, carried out by the militants of the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, including the sale of a commercial store located opposite the former Women’s Union Center, on Jenderes Road in Afrin for 1300 US dollars, knowing that one of its owner Citizens (we could not document his name), but he was from the town of Shieh, and he used to practice printing wedding cards there.

A settler from the countryside of Damascus sold the house of the Kurdish citizen “Rashid Hannan- Dike village” in the industrial area of ​​al-Ashrafieh neighborhood for $ 650 to another settler from Idlib.

A person called “Abu Zaid al-Hamwi”, a member of the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia, had earlier seized more than 12 apartments in al-Mahmudiyah neighborhood in the vicinity of the animal market in the region’s center, and rented them for his own benefit. These are the names of the real owners of some of those apartments: 1- Hannan Khalil from the village of Dike – 2- Mahmoud Khalil from the village of Hasandera – 3- Nuri Muhammad from the village of Kafarshile – 4- Ahmed Khalil from the village of Khalnere.

The same gunman also sold the house of “Sheikh Mus Muhammed” from Midana / Rajo village, which is located in al-Mahmudiyah neighborhood, for 1000 US dollars.

The house of the Kurdish citizen “Ziyad Mannan”, a resident of Amara village, was sold for $ 1,200, noting that the house is located on al-Qabban roundabout Street in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood.

Since the occupation of Afrin, the Islamic militias, under the supervision of the Turkish occupation, have divided Afrin villages and areas into sectors, whereby a certain militia has been stationed in each sector, and has monopolized the seizure of the property of the displaced Kurds, theft of their property and the robbery of their homes.

It is noteworthy that a study entitled “Nothing is ours anymore” by journalist Thomas McGee, shed light on the violations of housing, land and property rights in the occupied Afrin region, and the issue of the Kurds ’right to own property, in light of the Turkish occupation of Afrin.
