The Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation army and the Muslim Brotherhood organization have cut down hundreds of pine and cypress trees in a forest located in the countryside of the town of Jenderes, to trade their woodwork, according to the afrinpost reporter.
The reporter explained that the forest, which extends over an area of 1 hectare, which is located west of the village of Qile – Jenderes district, has completely disappeared, after the organized cutting operations carried out by “Ahrar Al Sharqiya” militia, indicating that the age of the trees is estimated at half a century.
afrinpost had previously documented the disappearance of the “Battal” forest, which is 1 km long, and is located between the villages of Miske Fawqani in the east and Chupana in the west of Jenderes district, and its area is estimated at / 30 / thousand square meters, and it was covered with Conifers and oaks, especially perennial ones, have disappeared.
Jenderes district is witnessing huge cutting operations of the coniferous forests scattered in the mountains and plateaus located in its countryside, and among the most prominent target points: Brim Haskulka Forest: which is about 500 meters away from the village of Miske to the north, and it is estimated at 150 thousand square meters, and its trees have been completely cut down. Other areas were cut off in Mount Bilel and Mount Khoja.
Likewise, the “Nawala Arab” forest, which is located 1 km to the west of the village of Khalta, which is estimated at 70 thousand square meters, has been completely cut down. Also, the cutting work continues at the forest of Jabal Hisse, located between the villages of Korda and Khalta, and is estimated at 500 thousand square meters.
