Occupation authorities arrest Kurdish citizens in Afrin, and release another after gaining ransom

On Wednesday 27/1/2021, the Turkish occupation authorities released the Kurdish citizen Salah Abd al-Rahman Alo (33 years) from Marateh Central Prison, after he paid a ransom of 2,000 Turkish lira, according to afrinpost correspondent.

The Turkish occupation militias kidnapped the citizen Salah on 12/20/2020, along with: Mustafa Hannan Alo (37 years) and Habash Arsalan Habash (46 years), on their way from their village “Dikeh” to the neighboring village of “Sheikh”, to give condolences for the death of Salah Alo’s mother-in-law.

In another context, the occupation authorities (Turkish intelligence and Military Police militia) in Afrin city, at about 3:00 on Monday 25/01/2021, arrested the minor Izzat Muhammad Ahmed (17 years), from the village of Hisseh / Merkan, of the Maabatli district, and a resident of the city, from his clothing store located next to the building of the Blue Center on Raju Road. The reason for the arrest was not known, and he was taken to an unknown destination.

On the evening of the same day and at seven in the evening, the citizen Nuri al-Din Ezzat Ahmed (51 years), who is the uncle of the minor Ezzat, was kidnapped without knowing the pretext, and he was also taken to an unknown destination.

On the other hand, gunmen from the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation raided the house of the old man Haj Ezzat Ahmed, nicknamed “Izzat Shufeir”, the father of Nuri al-Din, located next to the municipal stadium opposite al-Ittihah al-Aarabi School, in the vicinity of the Sharia Park in the occupied city of Afrin, and they looted the possessions of the displaced Kurdish citizen, Samir Ezzat, the brother of Nuri, amid directing insults at the people of the house.
