In a dangerous escalation of the arrest file, the Military Police militia began to adopt a new method, which is to take revenge on the families of those wanted and arrest them in order to pressure them to surrender themselves. The Military Police and “al-Waqqas Brigade” in mid-September 2020, came with the aim of putting pressure on one of those wanted in it to surrender.
The organization stated that the Turkish occupation militias arrested: (1- Josephine Sheikho Hamid doughter of Nour Hamin, 41 years old. 2- Nour Hamin Kilo, the widow of Sheikho Hamid Nabo (58) years old 3- Muhammad Abdeen Ahmed (Hammouda), (35 years old) the son-in-law of Mrs. Nour Hamin. 4- Aisha Hasan, the aunt of Josephine (52) years old, and residing in the village of Baflor, district of Jenderes .5- Khalida Murad 50 years old. 6- Hiyam Murad, daughter of Khalida Murad 30 years old, with the aim of putting pressure on the Kurdish citizen, whose fate is unknown, Mikael Sheikho Hamid to turn himself in, as the militias accuse him of hiding in the region to escape arrest.
It is noteworthy that “Mikael, 32 years old” was arrested by the “Military Police” militia and “al-Waqqas Brigade” on 11/26/2020 from the village of Senare – Sheikh al-Hadid district, immediately after his return from Aleppo, and he was exposed during his arrest, severely tortured, and then he was released in exchange for a ransom of $ 13,000.
After the so-called “military police” and “al-Waqqas” militants of the Turkish occupation arrested the citizen Mikael Sheikho Hamid from the village of “Senare” in Sheikh al-Hadid district, they brutally tortured him and released him after paying a ransom of 13 thousand US dollars Noting that he was residing in Aleppo after the occupation of Afrin, and he was arrested with members of his family after his return to the occupied Afrin.
In their endeavor to extort additional financial extortion, the Turkish occupation militias stormed the house of citizen “Mikael” to re-arrest him after his release for days, but they did not find him, accusing his family of hiding and smuggling him even though his fate is unknown, so they arrested his father-in-law and the rest of his relatives (whose names were mentioned above).
