Thousands of al-Shahba residents and the displaced people from Afrin, accompanied the civilian martyrs (two children and a woman), to their final resting place, Fafin district cemetery, with the participation of representatives of the bodies and institutions of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, al-Shahba Canton Council.
Yesterday, Saturday, the Turkish occupation army committed a massacre against the people of Tal Rifat district and the displaced people of Afrin, in which 3 civilians were martyred, including two children and eight wounded, including serious cases.
According to the Afrinpost correspondent in the region, the mourners raised pictures of the three martyrs (Majid Yasser Sakran, 8, Abdul Mohsen Sakran, 12, from the people of Tal Rifat, and Nazliya Muhammad Mustafa, 55, from Afrin from the village of Semalka in Maabatli district).
The convoy set off from the hospital (Afrin) in Fafin district, passing through the main streets and reaching the martyrs’ cemetery in the district.
Several speeches were delivered during the funeral, including the speech of the member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Union Party, Mrs. Hadiya Yusef, the member of the Afrin Provincial Council, Mr. Muhammad Ramadan, and the administrator at the Star Conference in Ahdath, Mrs. Gule Muhammad, and on behalf of the families of the two martyrs, Mr. Badr Sakran.
The speakers emphasized that the perpetration of massacres by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries and the siege imposed on al-Shahba canton by the Syrian regime are part of an interconnected chain aimed at exterminating and suppressing the people of Afrin.
For its part, the Turkish Ministry of Defense said in its Twitter account that it had managed to thwart an attack and an infiltration attempt by “SDF” fighters, from the “Tal Rifaat” area, towards the occupied Azaz area, claiming that it had killed and wounded 7 fighters, despite the Turkish artillery bombardment that injuring 11 civilians, including children and women were killed.
