8 violations against Kurds’ properties by militants and settler documented, in Afrin

afrinpost – Special

The illegal trade of the properties of Afrin residents continues, which has been seized by militants from the Muslim Brotherhood militia “the National Army”. An armed man of “al-Shamiya” militia sells five apartments, and a settler is not satisfied with not paying the rent, but rather threatens the Kurdish homeowner.

According to the afrinpost reporter, a gunman called Firas Oso who belongs to the ranks of the Islamic “al-Shamiya Front” militia, trades in residential apartments, and has sold five apartments owned by the al-Shaibani family, from the town of Zahra, which has been living in Afrin for more than forty years. Noting that the apartments sold are located in the vicinity of the Qabban Roundabout in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood.

Also in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, the house of the Kurdish citizen (Muhammad Hannan) from the people of Gunde Che village-Raju, was sold for 900 US dollars, and the house is located in the vicinity of Bilal Mosque next to a shop of firewood, knowing that the buyer is a settler from Eastern Ghouta. The same buyer bought a shop from an armed member of Deir Ezzor Sons of al-Shamiya Front militia group, for $ 400.

In this context, a settler from Eastern Ghouta refused to evacuate a house located in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood near Bilal Mosque, which is seized by its Kurdish owner (Rashid Ibrahim) from the village of Kurzele/ Qurzaihel.

It is noteworthy that the citizen Rashid had filed a complaint about the house with the “Rights Restoration” Committee of the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood Coalition, but the settler refuses to pay the rent dues incurred by him, while the owner of the house received a threat and literally told him, “If you were not an old man, we would treated you differently.”

It is noteworthy that the Committee was nothing but a propaganda form to beautify the image of the Turkish occupation and to confirm the violations of the rights and property of the people of Afrin, and the most it did was to organize fake lease contracts, according to which the settlers did not commit themselves to paying the rental dues.
