50 olive trees were cut down in villages of Ester and Qibare, in Afrin

Olive trees continue to be cut down for the purpose of trafficking in firewood, and armed elements have cut down fifty olive trees

The afrinpost correspondent reported that armed elements cut down 35 olive trees belonging to the Kurdish citizen Muhammad Yaqoub, and the trees were located in a site between Al-Qaws and the village of Qibar above Jumke village.

In a field located near the village of Ester, gunmen cut down 15 olive trees belonging to the Kurdish citizen Ahmed Khalil, who is from the village of Qastal Kishk.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation militia gunmen and their settler families have destroyed more than half a million olive trees, by carrying out cutting operations with the aim of trading their woods, in addition to the cutting operations that affect other fruit trees such as almonds, pomegranates, berries, etc. Large green areas have been turned into arid areas as a result of logging operations of about 10 thousand hectares.
