Settlers killed trying to steal high tension cables, in Afrin

afrinpost – Special

afrinpost learned from its sources today, Monday, that settlers from Eastern al-Ghouta were killed last Wednesday, while trying to steal high tension cables from the center of the occupied Afrin region.

The reporter explained that the settlers went up to the high-tension tower located at the Al-Horsh Junction in Trendeh neighborhood, and tried to cut and steal the cables to sell them as a raw material copper, but they were hit by the electrical current and died instantly.

The militants and their settler families have been waging fierce thefts campaigns against the infrastructure in the Kurdish region since its occupation on March 18, 2018, as the thefts affected the electricity, telephone, water, communications, railways and other public facilities that remained intact in a very large proportion during the previous Autonomous Administration era.
