Security tension between “Sultan Murad” and “Malikshah” militias in Afrin … against a background of harassing a woman

The security tension continues between the “Sultan Murad” and “Malikshah” militias of the Turkish occupation, amid the two parties’ bringing in military reinforcements into the center of the occupied Afrin region, due to the latter’s arrest of an armed man from “Sultan Murad” on charges of harassing a woman from Homs, while the the “Military Police” militia made efforts to calm the tension and resolve the dispute between them.

According to the Afrinpost correspondent in the district center, last night, the “Sultan Murad” militia brought military reinforcements from Bulbul and Sharan regions to Afrin, and in the aftermath the city witnessed random bullets firing, indicating that military vehicles equipped with DShK weapons of the “Malakshah” militia are still stationed in the old neighborhood of Afrin, especially near the Popular Credit Bank building.

The reporter explained that tension arose between the two parties due to “Malikshah” militia arresting a “Sultan Murad” member a on the charge of harassing a woman from Homs, she is affiliated with them, and the mobilization continues among the two parties due to the refusal of “Malikshah” to release the member accused of harassment, while the Military Police militia is still making efforts to calm the situation.
