“Failaq al-Sham” militia kidnapped a Kurdish woman in the village of Fafirtin in Afrin countryside

Afrinpost – Special

Afrinpost correspondent learned today that “Failaq al-Sham” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, on Saturday 5/12/2020, kidnapped the citizen “Kurdistan Muhammad Barakat” from her home in the village of Fafirtin of Najia Sherawa, and took her to their headquarter in the nearby village of Basufan, without being able to know the charges against her.

The reporter explained that an armed militia patrol led by the so-called “Hamoud Subhi al-Jar” raided the house of the Kurdish citizen, taking advantage of her husband being busy at work outside the village, and proceeded to kidnap her, noting that the militia is currently threatening her husband with death, because of the efforts he is making to release her, noting that the person is from the village of Kafrnin in the western countryside of Aleppo.

The reporter pointed out that the citizen “Kurdistan” was kidnapped shortly before that by a group called “Abu Zaid”, but she was released after obtaining a commitment from the husband not to smuggle her from the village to the regions of northeastern Syria.

“Failaq al-Sham” militia launched a massive kidnapping campaign in recent days in the villages of Basufan, Baaia and Kabashin, affecting dozens of Kurdish citizens. In the village of Baaia alone, 15 citizens were arrested.
