Militants and their settler families continue to carry out cutting and logging operations that affect fruit trees in the agricultural fields in the occupied Afrin region, with the aim of trading in woodwork on the one hand, and eliminating the livelihood of the remaining Kurdish citizens in order to displace them from their homes.
In the context, the afrinpost correspondent reported that armed men belonging to “al-Hamzat” militia cut down dozens of fruit trees in the village of Faqira / Jenderes, as well as near the junction of the village of Kafardaleh, including 65 olive trees owned by Dawod Khader / from the village of Faqira /.
The militants also targeted the fields of pomegranate and apricot in the area between my villages between Kurzele / Qurzaihil and Ain Dara, and cut down about 35 fruit trees to sell their firewood.
In Bulbul sub-district, the militia “Suquour al-Shamal/ Falcons of the North” cut down about 1000 olive trees in addition to 15 almond trees in the village of Qizilbasha, with the aim of trading firewood. The trees belong to the Kurdish displaced “Dilsher Khalil”, knowing that the militants have also seized his home and all possessions of his family members from olive trees houses and fields.
The same militia also cut down (130) olive trees from their roots in the village of Bele / Bilan in the Bulbul district, owned by the Kurdish citizen “Muhammad Hassan Mustafa”.
In Mobata / Maabatli district, “al-Hamzat” gunmen uprooted 900 olive trees, owned by the citizens of Ahmed Kefo (600 trees). 2- Muhammad Sheikh Mahmoud (300 trees).
