Today, Monday, the Corona Crisis Cell announced the imposition of a complete lockdown for one week on al-Shahba areas, to limit the outbreak of the Covid 19 virus, calling on the residents of the region, both residents and displaced persons, to abide by and adhere to the issued decisions, according to Afrinpost reporter.
The ban includes the closure of markets, schools and mosques, as well as the establishment of weddings, meetings, conferences, social activities and training courses. As for the institutions of Autonomous Administration in the region, shifts system will be applied.
According to the “Crisis Cell”, the region witnessed an increase in the number of people infected with the virus, and due to the lack of medical capabilities and equipment, it was decided to impose a total lockdown.
The government of the Syrian regime has imposed a suffocating siege on al-Shahba areas and its camps, not allowing fuel and medicine to enter the area for more than two weeks.
