Afrinpost-Special
The Turkish occupation prevents anyone from returning to Afrin except through Turkish territory, under the pretext of preventing bombings, while passers-by are being harassed by the “Military Police” militia of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood.
The “Afrinpost” correspondent at the center of the occupied Kurdish region in northern Syria confirmed that the Turkish occupation prevents anyone from entering Afrin from the neighboring Syrian regions, except through Turkish territory.
The reporter notes that the “Hamza Division” militia prevented about 50 young men, Kurd and Arabs, from entering Afrin from the side of the city of Azaz, last Tuesday, by order of the Turkish occupation, and indicated that the young men returned to Aleppo again.
The correspondent added that the militants asked each young man an amount of 400 dollars to allow them to enter Afrin, by smuggling them without the knowledge of the Turkish occupation army.
The correspondent noted that the Turkish occupation adopted that method under the pretext of preventing bombings, but observers attribute this to the occupation’s desire to prevent the indigenous Kurdish population from returning.
Passers-by through Turkey to Afrin are subjected to harassment by the checkpoints of the “Military Police” militia, and in this context Bashar Yashli, who is from the city of Marea, published on his page an incident that took place with him at the militia checkpoint at the western entrance to Afrin, where he confirmed that the militia gunmen insulted and forced him to hand over his mobile for inspection.
