The Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, who call themselves the “Syrian National Army,” cut down 480 olive trees belonging to displaced Kurdish civilians who now reside in al-Shahba area, after their forced displacement by the occupation.
The correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the center of Rajo sub-district in the countryside of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, northern Syria, indicated that “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia cut 400 trees in the vicinity of the district center, belonging to the citizen, “Hussein Rajo”, because of his presence in al-Shahba, where the occupation consider everyone in al-Shahba is working with the “Autonomous Administration” and legitimizes to plunder, seize and destroy their property.
The reporter also confirmed that “Soqour al-Shamal” militia cut down 80 trees belonging to the citizen “Abu Azad” in the village of Kotana in the “Bulbul / Bulbul” district, who is also a resident of al-Shahba.
The occupation militants and the Brotherhood organization cut olives, turn them into firewood and sell them in the markets to secure a material gain from that process, which would destroy the nature of Afrin.
While a source indicated to our correspondent that the Kurdish people are vulnerable, and they cannot do anything in the face of these violations that occur on a daily basis by the Brotherhood militia, with the planning of the Turkish occupation army.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation and its Brotherhood militias cut down thousands of olive trees in Afrin after their occupation of the Kurdish region on the 18th of March of 2018.
